Aluminium housings machined in batches with tight bore and flange tolerances and an anodised finish.
The challenge
Thin walls tended to warp and the customer needed repeatable fits across batches.
Our solution
Custom fixturing, staged roughing and finishing passes, and in-process inspection on every tenth part.
Results
- ±0.02 mm held across 500 parts
- Zero rejects at customer incoming inspection
